Gennaro Angiulo is arrested by federal law enforcement agents.

September 19, 1983

The reputed head of organized crime in Boston, he is arrested while dining at Francesco’s Restaurant at 90 North Washington Street. As he is led away, Angiulo reputedly boasts, “I’ll be back before my pork chops get cold.” Angiulo is convicted of racketeering, gambling, loan sharking and obstruction of justice in February 1986. He is released on parole for good behavior on September 18, 2007.
